Cheetah Speed is a book based on the idea of movement. The image of the cheetah is paired with typographic ensembles to emphasize movement evocative of a cheetah’s stride. Throughout the book, blocks of text appear as stationary objects before the cheetah approaches. As the book progresses, the blocks become clouds of text; emulating dust trailing behind the cheetah. This visual narrative was created using a combination of pencil and watercolor techniques; enhancing the overall concept of movement through the fluidity of watercolor and control of the pencil.
